2. Vision Statement
To seamlessly transition all retail banking accounts from Test Republic Bank’s legacy Cobol-based mainframe system to Temenos' Transact cloud-based core banking solution, ensuring zero disruption to client access and operations, while integrating with third-party systems and enhancing user experience through a blue-themed interface by New Year's Eve, 2025.
3. Business Objectives
- Transition 100,000 retail checking and savings accounts to Temenos' Transact
- Ensure zero disruption in client access to accounts during the transition
- Integrate Transact with Paymentus for payments and LendingPad for loan origination
- Automate testing with Selenium to ensure a smooth transition
- Purge and close accounts with $100 or less, issuing refunds via check
- Implement a blue-themed user interface for all client-facing portals
4. Project Scope
In Scope:
- Migration of all account information from the legacy system to Transact
- Integration with Paymentus and LendingPad
- Development of Selenium scripts for automated testing
- Implementation of a blue-themed UX in Transact
Out of Scope:
- Migration of accounts outside of retail checking and savings, CDs, Money Market accounts, mortgages, credit cards, car loans, and other personal loans
- Development of new banking products within Transact
- UX designs using colors other than blue
- Changes to third-party software functionalities beyond integration
5. Stakeholders

- IT Department: Responsible for system integration and data migration
- Operations Team: Ensuring client access remains uninterrupted
- Quality Assurance Team: Responsible for Selenium automated testing
- Customer Service: Communicating with clients regarding account changes and refunds
6. Deliverables
- Fully functional Temenos' Transact system with all accounts migrated
- Integrated systems with Paymentus and LendingPad
- Automated Selenium test scripts
- Purged accounts with $100 or less and issued refund checks
- Blue-themed UX implemented
7. Assumptions
- Clients will have uninterrupted access to their accounts during the migration
- All account data will be accurately migrated without data loss
- Third-party systems (Paymentus and LendingPad) will be compatible with Transact
- The project will be completed by New Year's Eve, 2025
8. Constraints
- Legacy system is over 30 years old and Cobol-based, which may present challenges during data migration
- Strict deadline of New Year's Eve, 2025
- Limited to using only shades of blue in the UX design
- Requirement to automate all testing processes using Selenium
9. Risks
