2. Vision Statement
The vision of this project is to seamlessly transition Test Republic Bank's account management from a 30-year-old Cobol-based mainframe system to a modern, cloud-based SaaS solution using Temenos' Transact core banking product. This transition will ensure continuous access to accounts for all clients and provide a robust, future-proof banking system by the deadline of New Year's Eve, 2025.
3. Business Objectives
- Successfully migrate 100,000 retail checking and savings accounts to Temenos' Transact.
- Ensure zero disruption to client access during the transition.
- Decommission the legacy mainframe system.
- Integrate Temenos' Transact with Paymentus and LendingPad systems.
- Implement Selenium-based automated testing.
- Design a user interface that exclusively uses shades of blue.
4. Project Scope
In Scope:
- Migration of all account types including checking, savings, CDs, Money Market accounts, mortgages, credit cards, car loans, and personal loans.
- Closing and refunding accounts with $100 or less.
- Integration with Paymentus for third-party payments.
- Integration with LendingPad for LOS.
- Development of Selenium code for automated testing.
- Design and implementation of a blue-themed user interface.
Out of Scope:
- Upgrades or changes to Paymentus and LendingPad systems beyond integration.
- Additional color themes or UI designs outside of blue shades.
- Feature enhancements beyond the core functionalities of Temenos' Transact.

7. Assumptions
- All required data from the legacy system is accessible and accurate.
- Temenos' Transact can handle the volume and complexity of Test Republic Bank's accounts.
- Integration with Paymentus and LendingPad will be straightforward and supported by these vendors.
- Sufficient resources (time, budget, personnel) are available to complete the project by the deadline.
8. Constraints
- Must go live by New Year's Eve, 2025.
- No disruption to client access during the transition.
